If you wonder if you have sporadic fatal insomnia or sfi, the best you can do is stop looking for the truth. Because the more you monitor yourself to see if you have the symptoms you read about, the more you you will think you do. And the more you find the less you’ll sleep.
If it’s hard not to. Then know that sfi is not an insomnia.

X is not the reason you can’t sleep, wondering if x is the reason is. Only do y if it’s not something you do to make yourself sleep. It’s not important whether you do a or b, but not pondering whether to do a or b is. Insomnia does not cause z, but believing so does.

Fei's hypnic jerks are gone! But how about that insomnia that happens before traveling? Marvin asks about CBD and Melatonin, are those good options? Aleksa is afraid of looking very aged 5 years from now due to insomnia, can that happen? Lena feels comforted by the fact that after 2 days of no sleep, she experienced micro sleep. Georgie wonders if short sleep can cause muscle loss. Aaron is seeing better sleep after starting to spend less time in bed, but the sleep is light towards the morning, is that normal? Dominic has started CBTI, but is he doing it right? Vince has a relapse, what to do? Rebecca has a night of 5 hours of sleep, that's big! But how long before things get more predictable overall?
